While the cost of an Exilis treatment varies according to the extensiveness of the procedure, in general, the total cost is under $2,000.
Unlike most surgical procedures, Exilis treatments boast a recovery process that is practically non-existent. In fact, it is not uncommon for patients who undergo an Exilis treatment to return to work immediately after the treatment.
The length of the procedure depends on the breadth of cosmetic work. However, on average, an Exilis treatment takes approximately 20 minutes to perform per zone. Treatments are performed on a weekly basis for 6 weeks in order to achieve the best results. Following this period, patients generally notice a significant improvement in body contouring, skin tightening, fat reduction, and cellulite reduction.
An Exilis treatment involves utilizing a radiofrequency device to reduce fat and repair sagging skin. By heating the skin and soft tissue, the Exilis device is able to stimulate and strengthen skin elasticity. Scientifically proven and clinically tested, the Elixis treatment can address virtually any skin texture issues on the body. However, the procedure is often used to treat saggy jowls, wrinkled cheeks, and turkey neck.
SpaMedica has the best selection of non-surgical liposuction technology in Canada. Each non-invasive liposuction program is customized to include the best possible combination of devices that will give the most effective permanent fat reduction, skin tightening, and muscle toning results. At the time of your consultation, your consult coordinator will review the best combination of technologies to provide the results you are looking for.
SpaMedica is Canada’s largest, oldest, and most respected private cosmetic laser center. Why are there so many non-surgical liposuction device options? The answer is simple: using only one device will not give the best results. Superior non-surgical liposuction, permanent fat reduction, tightening and smoothing outcomes are only achieved by the customized combination of two or more of the following technologies that work in different, synergistic and summative ways to achieve the best results, including:
● The new Evolve Tite Trim and Tone total tissue contouring
● SculpSure hyperthermic permanent fat removal
● CoolSculpting hypothermic permanent fat destruction
● UltraShape permanent ultrasonic fat reduction
● Vanquish hyperthermic microwave permanent fat reduction
● BodyFX
● Morpheus8 body fractional radiofrequency fat destruction
● VelaShape RF fat reduction
● Liposonix ultrasonic thermal fat destruction
● Zerona high fluence, low-level light laser
Simply put, the best results are achieved by combining the best technologies.
There is no particular age restriction for an Exilis treatment, and there is no specific trait that defines a “good” candidate. Fundamentally, good candidates are patients who would like to treat sagginess and reduce fat without undergoing an invasive procedure. However, as is the case with most cosmetic procedures, good candidates should have logical expectations concerning the risks and benefits of the procedure.
Please note that the treatment is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant. In addition, the treatment should be avoided in areas where there are cancers or infections.
Fat Reduction
An Exilis treatment is effective in tightening skin and diminishing stubborn areas of unwanted body fat.
No Recovery
Whereas surgical procedures involve a lengthy recovery period, Exilis treatments boast no downtime.
Non-Invasive
With an Exilis treatment, patients can tighten their skin, reduce their cellulite, and reduce sagginess without resorting to invasive surgery.
Painless
While other treatments can cause some discomfort, Exilis treatments are completely painless.
Like all procedures, an Exilis treatment comes with the risk of potential complications. Dr. Mulholland has been performing these treatments for over 20 years and, after this many procedures, the risk of a significant complication is extremely low. Although Dr. Mulholland has not seen most of the risks listed below, these Exilis risks have been reported:
Bruising
In rare cases, the procedure may result in bruising that can last several days.
Numbness
The affected area may feel numb following the procedure, but this side effect is typically temporary.
Swelling
In some cases, the procedure can result in swelling. However, this swelling should subside in the days following the procedure.
Redness
Like these other potential risks, any redness should diminish not long after the procedure.
SpaMedica has been at the forefront of the development of non-surgical fat reduction technologies such as Venus Freeze, Coolsculpting, Sculpsure, Vanquish, VelaSmooth, UltraShape, Evolve and BodyFX. In fact, Dr. Stephen Mulholland has taught the Exilis technique to countless physicians around the world. His approach at SpaMedica results in skin tightening and the permanent death of fat cells through a combination of fat reduction and skin tightening technologies.
As an Exilis treatment is completely painless, there is no topical or local anesthesia involved in the procedure. During the treatment, SpaMedica doctors apply the radiofrequency applicator to the treatment area. The oscillating electrical current heats up the skin and soft tissue, stimulating collagen and reducing cellulite and the fat cells in the region. After a series of treatments, there will be a significant improvement in cellulite reduction and skin tightening. 6 weekly treatments are recommended and other fat destruction and skin tightening technologies can be combined to ensure you get the best results.
Prior to your procedure, Dr. Mulholland and his team will review your medications and medical history. Based on the scope of the treatment, SpaMedica doctors may recommend that you stop taking certain medications before the procedure. It is also recommended that you consume a healthy diet and drink plenty of liquids before your treatment.
There is no recovery involved in an Exilis treatment. Indeed, after each session, patients typically opt to return to normal activities immediately, including high-exertion exercise. While the eliminated fat cells are not expected to return, it is recommended that patients maintain their results by undergoing a single treatment once every 3 or 4 months. These maintenance treatments will ensure that optimal skin tightening results are achieved.
SpaMedica patients can combine Exilis with other treatments such as Coolsulpting, Sculpsure, Evolve, BodyFx, Vanquish or UltraShape to attain further circumferential reductions in body contour.
Due to its non-invasive approach, an Exilis treatment is not considered to be painful at all. After the procedure, patients can occasionally feel discomfort, tenderness, and swelling in the targeted areas. However, these sensations should subside the following day.
The results of an Exilis treatment are not permanent, as the skin will need maintenance treatment to keep tight. However, it is imperative that patients maintain their post-procedure weight to maintain the results of the Exilis treatment.
